Marte, a dream of independence
In the Dja reserve in south-east Cameroon, poverty and unemployment affect many villages.
Marte, a 16-year-old girl living in the region, is studying agriculture despite her father’s financial problems. For her, the Agricultural Training Centre is a chance to escape from poverty. One day she hopes to earn enough money to live in the city.
This report follows the agricultural training of a teenager dreaming of autonomy, in an area where many young people are unemployed.
